Firm Overview

Brian McMahon has real-world business experience developed during the years he spent in sales and management with General Mills prior to attending law school. He brings this experience to every problem and every case he handles for his clients. Brian knows and understands business and business people, and takes the time to learn his client’s business and business plan.

Brian’s professional experience—both inside and outside the legal profession—lends a unique perspective to his law practice. He understands the far-reaching implications of business disputes and uses this experience to assess his client’s problems and provide practical guidance and counseling.

Brian will assess the merits of your particular circumstances and take the time to work with you to develop a strategic plan to solve the problem or resolve the dispute. This plan will take into account your unique, long and short-term business objectives, the amount at stake, and the strengths and weaknesses of your case.

The goal in every case is to achieve a favorable result as quickly as possible. In reality, most lawsuits settle before trial. Therefore, diligence, preparation and tenacity are required from the outset and throughout the discovery process to position your case for favorable resolution. It also requires a willingness to take the case all the way to trial if that is what it takes to achieve the outcome you desire.

Brian spends only the time and resources necessary and appropriate in a given case, with the goal of achieving for his client the desired result at a price in line with what’s at stake. His real-world business background, extensive legal experience, aggressiveness, hard work and creative problem solving are the foundation of Brian’s work. Trust, professional integrity, and direct communication with clients and opposing counsel are all hallmarks of his work.
